The SME Package Digital is set up by the House of Entrepreneurship with the support of the Ministry of the Economy. It helps Luxembourg businesses with their digital transformation by funding a large share of their projects.

Eligibility

Is your business eligible?

The program is open to Luxembourg SMEs that meet these 4 criteria.

Business establishment authorization

Issued by the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Ministry of the Economy.

SME criteria

Fewer than 250 employees, annual turnover below 50M€, or balance sheet below 43M€.

Registered office in Luxembourg

The business must be established in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Budget between 3,000€ and 25,000€

The digital project must fall within this range of eligible costs, excl. VAT.

Frequently asked questions

Can the SME Package be combined with other grants?+

Not on the same eligible costs. However, you can benefit from other grants for separate projects, within the EU de minimis aid ceilings.

Does the 3,000€ budget include VAT?+

No. The 3,000€ minimum budget is expressed excluding VAT. The VAT-inclusive amount is therefore 3,000€ plus the applicable Luxembourg VAT (generally 17%).

Does my business need a minimum track record?+

No, there's no minimum age requirement. You just need a valid business establishment authorization issued by the Ministry of the Economy.

When do I receive the grant?+

After the project is fully completed. You pay the final invoice, then receive a 70% reimbursement of eligible costs from the Ministry of the Economy.

Is the budget limited each year?+

Yes, funds are subject to annual budgets. We strongly recommend submitting your application as early as possible to avoid missing the available envelope.
